I am pleased to offer 3 workshops in London at the request of my students to cover some of the favourite topics in conjunction with Yoga.
Location:  Hackney, E9.  As the venue is a private home, the address will be given only after approved registration for the events.  There is a limit of 8 participants due to the size of the space.

       "The meditative line"

This workshop will focus on silencing the mind through the action of drawing repetitive lines and colouring.  It will consist of 3 parts: 
1. Using Ayurveda as a base you will explore the colours that either pacify, energize, or ground your mind in order to reach a more balanced state.  This will be followed by a short guided relaxation
2.  Working in total silence for 1 hour you will use meditative line drawing and your chosen palette (recommended during phase 1) to unlock the creative energy within you.
3. Participants will share their work afterwards, and discussion will allow new ideas / materials to emerge, in order for you to continue by yourself in your own time at home.  The session will end with a short healing meditation.
You do not need to know how to draw or paint for this workshop, as it is not about producing artwork (though you might surprise yourself at what you've done!).  Please do contact me if you have further query.

          "Symbols and Intuition"

This workshop will aim at developing intuition and understanding symbols, how to activate certain energies in order to receive inner guidance from Life events.  The theme of the Yoginis will be introduced and the session will consist of meditation, pranayama, simple yogic asanas, as well as sharing insights and experience.  It is mostly an explorative journey that aims to be grounding and nurturing.  This theme has already been explored in a previous retreat, and will also be the focus of the new retreat in Sweden (29th Oct - 2nd Nov 2015).

This workshop is suitable to those who wish to take their yoga practice to a more subtle level, and to incorporate the tools in their everyday life.

      "Discover your Vikruti"

Ayurveda is increasingly becoming popular, especially amongst yoga practitioners.  People enjoy discovering their doshic constitution (Prakruti), whether they are Vata, Pitta or Kapha;  they nevertheless become confused as to which ayurvedic regimen to follow when they try to work it out according to their prakruti.  This workshop will explore how to understand your "vikruti" which is your state of imbalance, an aspect which is important for an ayurvedic physician, but which is often less understood.  It is actually more useful to know your vikruti than your prakruti when you want to re-align with your healthy inherent nature!
By working in pairs and as a group we will discover how to recognize the basic signs of imbalance, and simple dietary advice and lifetstyle will be given for encouraging maximum health.
A short meditation will be included in the session.
