DESCRIPTION

Pranayama is a very important practice in Yoga, and it is not just breathwork.  In these sessions you will learn:

  •  What is Prana and how it flows within us
  • kriyas to purify the nadis (channels of the subtle body)
  •  The purpose of altering the flow of the breath, and the value of Kumbhaka (retention). 
  •  Simple techniques with specific mudras to balance the mind.
  •  The link between prana and further stages of awareness.
  • Each session finishes with a lying down mediative relaxation

The sessions are practical in order for you to experience the benefits, as well as theoretical to understand the role of Prana during asanas practice. 



WHO CAN TAKE PART?

Anyone in general good health.

If you have a health condition (heart, lungs, or mind) please contact me at least 2 days before the event by email to discuss if this would be beneficial for you, and I can let you know if there is any exercise you should avoid.



WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED?

a yoga mat to lie down, some practices will be done in semi-supine position.

A comfortable cushion or chair for sitting exercises

A quiet space where you will not be disturbed.

Log in 5 mins before the event as the preliminary exercises are very important for warming up the lungs and tune in.
