"He (she) who follows the Tantric path can acquire the power of evoking or suspending at will any passions or emotions, independantly from those objects and situations that usually cause them to arise. This may occur with an ease unknown to ordinary people, who are inclined to believe that feelings and passions cannot be controlled and that the only true and authentic feelings are those that are passively experienced rather than those that are consciously induced. In the siddha's case, the passions' shaktis become part of his own being, and part of his own powers. In him, the Tantric principle of the unity of bhoga (enjoyment) and yoga (discipline) is actualized. Thus it is clear that the siddha or kaula can do as he pleases, all the while remaining spiritually invulnerable" (Julius Evola - The Yoga of Power: Tantra, Shakti and the secret way)
